The translation gap
Every company has a translation gap.
Few know how to close it.
Executive strategy and team execution speak different languages. Someone has to move fluently between both, translating high level goals into work a team can pick up and run with. Most companies feel this gap. Few know how to fill it.
The instinct is to reach for a project manager or a scrum master. Those roles matter, and they are not the fix. Project managers, scrum masters, agile coaches, and product owners are already doing the jobs they were hired to do. Pulling them into translation work pulls them away from what they do best, while the real gap stays open.
I have worked as all four of those roles, which is exactly why I recognize what none of them are built to solve alone. Closing the gap between strategy and execution takes a specialist in the translation itself, not another title added to the org chart.
